Project Summary
Umberslade carried out a full soft strip of a former Barnardo’s retail unit at Princess Alice Retail Park, ready for its conversion into a new gym for The Gym Group. The works included removing the unit’s platform lift.
Schedule of Work
We began by clearing out everything left behind by the previous tenant, including fixtures and fittings, remaining kitchen units, security shutters, furniture and stored items.
Our team then stripped the unit back to its shell. That meant removing all internal blockwork, stud partitions, doors, wall linings and bulkheads, along with every ceiling and its associated fixtures and fittings. All floor finishes and underlay came up, from vinyl and carpet to tiles, as did the internal joinery such as doors, skirtings and architraves.
Finally, we stripped out all internal and external M&E, leaving a clean space ready for the gym fit-out to begin.
