Umberslade is a growing business in the construction sector, we are looking for a reliable, organised office assistant to undertake a number of administrative tasks and offer support to our small office team based near Barston, Solihull.


The successful candidate will be self-motivated and have excellent attention to detail. Experience of working in an office environment is helpful, the ideal candidate will be a team player with a positive attitude that will contribute to the efficiency of our office.

We have a lively and fun office environment, so a confident disposition and good sense of humour will be an asset.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Answering telephones and assisting with inbound calls, dealing with enquiries from staff, customers and suppliers

  • Handling e-mail communications to the above

  • Managing mail, including post preparation and occasional delivery to post office

  • Maintaining electronic employee records, hard-copy filing

  • Reconciling receipts with credit card statements

  • Photocopying and scanning

  • Monitoring and purchasing stationery and other supplies to ensure the office is always well stocked

  • Performing other administrative duties as required

  • Competent with basic use of Outlook, Word and Excel

  • Experience with Sage accountancy software

  • 1 Year experience in similar role
